Reading regularly stimulates children’s imaginations, accelerates their emotional development, and fosters natural curiosity. Reading also aids in the development of verbal and written communication skills and encourages higher order thinking.
In order to foster these benefits, we conduct a children’s reading circle. The program allows children to select a book from our library and discuss it with peers. We have observed that this circle has helped improve the attention span of the children and has aided in their increased vocabulary.
The interest in reading has been so contagious that there have been requests from parents and grandparents to take out books from the library as well!
